The Basque Government is reviewing the hiring process for the last 10 years "as a precautionary measure."

The Basque Government will thoroughly review public procurement over the last 10 years "out of prudence and transparency," although there are no indications of corruption.
The Basque Government has launched an "exhaustive analysis" of the contracts it has executed over the last 10 years, Lehendakari Imanol Pradales announced in the Vitoria-Gasteiz Parliament.
He said his cabinet has "not the slightest" indication or suspicion of corrupt acts, but in light of the "extremely serious events we are learning about"—referring to the alleged corruption scheme involving former PSOE officials—he has already begun to analyze public procurement over the last decade "out of prudence, transparency, and responsibility."
In the plenary session of the Basque Parliament, PNV parliamentarian Joseba Díez asked the Lehendakari about the progress of the challenges he set himself a year ago in the investiture session.
In his response, Pradales highlighted the "economic-technological-digital leap" and the collaborative initiatives launched by his government.
Among them, he highlighted the new Industrial Plan. He also emphasized the need for laws such as the Basque Transparency Act and a committee on democratic quality. On this point, he announced a review of public contracts from the last 10 years.
